Size Guide
The right size comes before the rug’s pattern. Based on your room and furniture arrangement you’ll find which size works below; each size opens the rugs we offer in that dimension. Before deciding, mark the selected size on the floor with masking tape — this ten-minute test prevents the most expensive mistake.
Center the rug
In small living rooms, keep the furniture outside the rug at an equal distance on all sides. The rug sits like a breathable island beneath the coffee table, making the room feel more spacious. For this setup 160 × 230 or 140 × 200.
Front legs on the rug
In a medium-sized living room, place only the front legs of sofas and armchairs on the rug. This visually unifies the seating area without making the space feel smaller. The setup that works most often: 170 × 240 or 200 × 300.
All furniture on the rug
In larger living rooms, place the entire seating group on the rug. Leave at least 20 cm of rug visible around the furniture; otherwise, the pieces will extend beyond the edges and the arrangement will look untidy. 240 × 340 or 250 × 350.
Corner sofa alignment
If you have a corner sofa, align its inner corner with the rug’s corner. The remaining rug surface accommodates the coffee table and walkway, creating balance. 200 × 300 or in a larger living room 240 × 340.
Frame the furniture
In open-plan spaces with two sofas facing each other, the rug should frame the entire seating area. Leave 25–45 cm of visible floor between the rug and the walls on all sides. The size of this setup 300 × 400.
Round or square table
For a round table for 4–8 people, the rug should remain under the chairs even when they are pulled back. Q 200 is the safe choice; Q 160 works only with small tables. Q indicates the diameter.
Table for 6 people
Add 75 cm to each side of a 90 × 160 cm table. When the chairs are pulled out, their back legs should still remain on the rug; otherwise, they will catch on the edge every time someone gets up. Result: 240 × 340.
Table for 8 people
Use the same calculation for a 100 × 200 cm table 250 × 350 If the dining area is not separate from the living room, a rug that clearly frames the table will distinguish the two areas.
Large dining table
A rug should be generously sized under a long table for 8–10 people. 300 × 400 leaves room for chair movement, serving, and passage around the table at the same time.
Small bedroom
In narrow rooms, slide the rug under the lower third of the bed; 40–60 cm of rug should be visible at the foot. 160 × 230 is sufficient. Alternative: symmetrical on both sides 80 × 150.
160 cm bed base
For a double bed base, the rug should extend two-thirds under the bed and pass in front of the nightstands. Leave 60–70 cm of walking space on both sides. Size: 200 × 300.

If your rug is not what you expected, you can return it within 14 days of delivery. Once you submit your return request, we will send you the shipping barcode. You do not need to take the rug to a shipping branch — you can call the nearest Yurtiçi Kargo branch and request pickup from your address. Return shipping costs are covered by us.
Warranty
Every rug is covered by a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

Immediate Action and Liquid Spills
When a liquid is spilled, timing is the most critical factor. Using a clean, slightly damp cloth and never rubbing, gently blot the liquid from the surface. Always work in the direction of the rug’s pile (the natural lay of the fibers). Rubbing can damage the structure of delicate fibers such as TENCEL™ and viscose. If you are unsure, stop immediately.
Routine Care and Light Balance
For your weekly cleaning routine, always use vacuum cleaners with low suction power. High-powered upright vacuum cleaners and stiff brushes can damage the natural structure of handwoven yarns. To balance the reaction of natural fibers to light and prevent localized tone differences (fading), we recommend changing the direction of your rug every 2 to 6 months.
Expert Care (Professional Cleaning)
Noble materials such as handwoven fibers, TENCEL™, viscose, and New Zealand wool should not come into contact with household chemical cleaners. These products can irreversibly damage the rug’s silky sheen and structural integrity. For deep cleaning, seek assistance only from professional rug-care centers specializing in natural fibers.
Washing Instructions
The exceptional pieces in the Carpetdocia collections are not suitable for washing in a washing machine due to their construction. (Only our specific models explicitly marked “Washable” in their names may be washed in household machines using a low-temperature, delicate cycle.)
